1. About this document 1. About this document This guide describes how to set up MiR Fleet PC and get started with the MiR Fleet interface. MiR Fleet is used to organize the operation of multiple robots, ensuring that they are all executing missions.
MiR Fleet PC must be connected to the network through Ethernet and must be in the same physical location as the connected robots. Geographical distance will cause delay between the fleet and the robots.

Antenna The small antenna shipped with the MiR robots is used for connecting the robots to your in- house wireless network. It is designed for 2.4 GHz, and it does not have a powerful gain. If you experience issues, consider replacing it with an antenna that suits your network.
4. Getting Started 4. Getting Started This section describes how to prepare your robots to join the fleet, start up your MiR Fleet PC for the first time, and activate your license. Before activating MiR Fleet, you must complete the following actions: Update the fleet robots to software version 2.7.9 or higher.
4.4 Signing in for the first time You sign in to MiR Fleet by typing the fleet’s IP address in a web browser on a computer on the same physical network as the robots and the fleet.
4.5 Installing and activating your fleet You are now ready to activate the MiR Fleet interface. It is only necessary to activate your license the first time you sign in to MiR Fleet. After activation, the license is tied to the hardware of the host and can only run on that host.

4. Getting Started Once MiR Fleet has started up, open a web browser, and go to the sign-in page by inserting the IP address of your MiR Fleet in the address bar. Enter a username and password. The default usernames and passwords are the same as for robots.
5.2 Adding robots to the fleet The first robot you should add to your MiR Fleet is the model robot where you have created a complete site. Once you add it, MiR Fleet synchronizes data with the robot and retrieves all the site data.
If some of the site data created on your model robot is missing after you added your robots to MiR Fleet, import the backup site file you exported from the robot before adding it. If all of the data appears to have synchronized correctly, you do not have to import the backup site file.
Mission groups that all robots in the group are able to execute. For example, you can use robot and Mission groups to restrict a group of MiR Hook robots to only perform missions for transporting carts.

The robot is now assigned to the group. Charging groups In MiR Fleet, Charging groups are used to assign a certain set of charging stations to any number of robots. This is useful if you have enabled Auto charging—see Enabling automatic charging and staging on page 45—...
Page 47
If an obstacle is blocking a charging station or Staging position that the robot has been sent to, MiR Fleet sends the robot to another charging station or Staging position. If all stations and positions are occupied, the robot remains idle wherever it stops.
A Limit-robots zone is one of two fleet-specific zones you can use. They are used to limit the number of robots in a certain area. Only a set number of robots connected to MiR Fleet can be in a Limit-robots zone at the same time.
Figure 5.5. Evacuation zones placed on a map. 5.14 Resource handling Resources in MiR Fleet is an umbrella term for map features that can only be occupied by a limited number of robots and where it is the responsibility of MiR Fleet to manage which robot has priority.
In general, the MiR Fleet API has possibilities for integration directly through the API, and you can try the API calls directly from the MiR Fleet interface help menu, the same way as in the robot interface. Make sure to check the parameters in the API documentation.
7.1 Updating MiR Fleet The MiR Fleet PC software can be updated by uploading a .mir file through the interface. Contact your distributor for the latest .mir software file. See the MiR Fleet Reference Guide for instructions on updating the MiR Fleet PC software.

This can for example be V, VL, L, or Bar- markers. MiR Fleet License The product license you received with MiR Fleet PC. This license is used to activate your MiR Fleet. A license can only be used to activate one MiR Fleet. MiR robot interface The robot interface is the web-based interface that enables you to communicate with your MiR robot.
