Safety Information Vibrations (Where Applicable) • Prolonged use of hand held (operated) machines will cause the user to feel the effects of/from vibrations. These vibrations can lead to white finger (Raynaud’s phenomenon) or carpal tunnel syndrome. This condition reduces the ability of the hand to feel and regulate temperature, causing numbness and heat sensations and may cause nerve damage and circulatory tissue death.

Operation Diesel (1-K Kerosene) For optimal performance of this heater, it is strongly suggested that 1-K kerosene be used, 1-K kerosene has been refined to virtually eliminate contaminants, such as sulfur. Which can cause a rotten egg odour during the operation of the heater. However, #1 or #2 fuel oil - Diesel may also be used if 1-K kerosene is not available.
Page 25
Operation Electrical System Protection The heater’s electrical system is protected by a circuit breaker that protects the system components from damage. If the heater fails, check the fuse first, and replace if necessary. Flame Sensor The heater uses a photocell to see the flame in the combustion chamber. Should the flame extin- guish, the sensor will stop electrical current and the heater will shut off.
Also check the power source to be sure that the proper voltage is being provided to the heater. Lamp Room Temp. Display (Except P70DKH) Power Switch Thermostat Control Knob NEVER LEAVE HEATER UNATTENDED WHILE BURNING OR WHILE CONNECTED TO A POWER SOURCE.
Stopping procedure To Stop The Heater: Simply turn the power switch to “OFF” position and unplug the power cord. To Restart The Heater: 1. Wait 10 seconds after shutting off the heater. 2. Turn the power switch to “ON” position. 3.
Storage Checking Your Machine When checking your machine, we recommend you: • Check for worn or damaged parts • Make sure all nuts, screws and bolts are tight • Make sure all warning stickers are in place and not damaged If there are worn or damaged parts, never use the machine.

Storage Long Term Storage Drain Fuel Tank 1. For P70DKH, drain fuel through the fuel cap opening using an approved siphon. 2. For P125DKH and P215DKH models, drain fuel through the drain plug at the bottom of the fuel tank.
Maintenance Maintenance WARNING! Never service heater while it is plugged in or while hot! Use only original equipment replacement parts. The use of alternate or third party components can cause unsafe operating conditions, and will void your warranty. We suggest following a maintenance schedule as follows: Fuel / Fuel Tank Flush every 200 hours of operation or as needed.

Pump Pressure Adjustment While heater is operating, turn relief valve clockwise to increase. Counter-clockwise to decrease. Use flat blade screw driver to turn valve. Correct pump pressure as follows: Model Pump Pressure (Kpa/Psi) P70DKH 31.0/4.5 P125DKH 38.0/5.5 P215DKH 52.0/7.5 For best measurement of pressure, test with full tank of fuel. Optimum pressure occurs when the nose cone is cherry red and there are no extending flames from the heater.
Troubleshooting Problem Possible Cause Solution Heater fires, but main 1. Incorrect pump pressure. 1. Adjust pump pressure. PCB shuts heater off 2. Dirty input output or lint filter. 2. Clean/replace air filter. after a short period of 3. Dirty fuel filter. 3.
