Using an External Flash

Connect the unit to the camera.

In shooting mode, select FLASH
FUNCTION SETTING in the F (FLASH
SETTING) menu tab. The options
available vary with the fl ash unit.

Displayed when an optional EF-X8 fl ash unit is mounted
EF-X8
on the hot shoe and raised.
Adjust settings for fl ash units connected via the sync
SYNC
terminal. SYNC TERMINAL is displayed if the EF-X8 is
TERMINAL
lowered and either no fl ash unit, or an incompatible fl ash
unit, is mounted on the hot shoe.
SHOE MOUNT
Displayed when an optional fl ash unit other than the
FLASH
EF-X8 is mounted on the hot shoe and turned on.
Displayed if an optional fl ash unit functioning as a com-
COMMANDER
mander for Fujifi lm optical wireless remote fl ash control is
(OPTICAL)
connected and turned on.

Highlight items using the focus stick
(focus lever) and rotate the front
command dial to change the high-
lighted setting.

Press DISP/BACK to put the changes into eff ect.
