DirectDeck
Listen to your iPod or other portable player
through your car's cassette deck
Thank you, and welcome to DirectDeck, the easiest way to enjoy your music collection
through your car's audio cassette deck. DirectDeck lets you connect your iPod, MP3
player, CD player — any portable audio player with a stereo headphone jack — directly
to your in-dash cassette player, and listen through your stereo speakers.

Getting Started

1. Plug DirectDeck into the 1/8" (3.5mm) stereo headphone jack of your portable player.
2. Insert DirectDeck into your cassette player as you would any tape cassette.
3. Adjust your portable player to a low volume level.
4. Press the Play button on your car's cassette deck.
5. Adjust the car stereo volume for desired listening level.

Some Tips About Sound

When you use DirectDeck, you have two separate volume controls — the one on
your car stereo, and the one on your portable player or iPod. The way you adjust
them will affect the sound quality.
Too much volume from the portable player may overdrive the car stereo, causing
distorted, fuzzy sound. If this happens, adjust your portable player's volume down
and the car stereo's volume up to the desired level.
