PRODUCT CARE & MAINTENANCE GUIDELINES
The following guidelines indicate the appropriate care and maintenance of T293 OD
Equipment, in order to ensure that the lifetime of each product is maximised. Please
read and follow these guidelines carefully, in order to ensure that you maximise the
use from your equipment.
Each board and rig package is delivered with a rigging manual showing you how to
set-up your equipment. These instructions should be followed carefully. If for some
reason this manual has been misplaced, additional copies are available from
www.bicsportwindsurf.com
In order to maximise the life of your board :
• Always protect your board from the sun when not in use. The harmful effects of the
sun's rays cause all colours to fade.
• Make sure you use the parts and accessories supplied together with the board.
• Tighten the foot strap screws fi rmly – but don't over tighten them. The foot strap screws
are subject to extreme loads & forces and should be checked regularly if still tight.
• Make sure that your fi n box is clear of all sand and dirt before inserting the fi n.
• The adjustable mast track, and daggerboard system should be regularly rinsed with
fresh water to remove any sand or dirt. These parts should also be checked for any
signs of wear and tear (cracks, worn parts... etc.), particularly the mast track which is
important for connecting your board to your sail.
• Tighten the fi n box screw fi rmly.
• Regularly check your board for holes or punctures in the surface skin. In the event
that any damage is found, these should be repaired immediately and before any
further use.
Depending on the water on which you are sailing, the rails and the bottom of the
board may turn yellow. This does not mean that the white is fading because of the
sun but it comes from the pollution in the water. It can easily be removed with car
polishing cream.
