11. Recharge the battery using a method indicated in section
12.1 or 12.2 or 12.3.
• Adjust the electrolyte level at a current of 0.2*I
to 10 minutes prior to end of the charge methods, 12.1, 12.2,
and 12.3
• Afterwards measure the voltage on each cell prior to the end of
charge at 0.2*I 1 .
Requirement: cell voltage shall be ≥ 1.56 V
• Record the values in the log book.
NOTE
If the battery has to be charged below 0°C, apply 7 hours
charge at 0.2*I
.

ATTENTION:
• Don't charge the battery with currents higher than I
• Do not apply method 12.3, if the battery cannot be fully
supervised.
12.1 IUI charge – method (Appendix 1)
• Charge the battery at I
times number of cells and charge for 2 hours at 0.2*I
• After about 1 hour charge, check that battery has reached
the voltage level to switch the charge current to 0.2*I
12.2 I charge method (Appendix 2)
• Charge the fully discharged battery for seven hours at 0.2*I
12.3 II charge method (Appendix 3)
• Charge the fully discharged battery with parameters selected
from the table below and afterwards charge for two hours at
0.2*I
