Filter change

In order to change the filters, open and remove both upper snap-in hooks on front cover. Then remove the outside air
and extract air filter from the metal rails.
When using filters, pay attention on air flow direction arrows on the filter labels! The air flow direction is
shown on the unit label .
– Filter
The KWL compact unit is equipped with outside and extract air filter class G4 as standard (to DIN EN 13779):
• Outside air/extract air:
2 pcs. Spare filter Coarse 65 % (G4)
1 pc. Spare filter Fine ePM 1 50 % (F7)
2 pcs. Filter Coarse 65 % (G4)/1 pc. Filter Fine ePM 1 50 % (F7)
The filters are to be checked regularly (see controller display, factory setting every 6 months) depending on the
degree of contamination . They must be replaced for hygienic reasons after a maximum of 1-year operation .
All of the following information and instructions are intended solely for an
authorised electrician!

Fully isolate the unit from the mains power supply before all maintenance and installation work or before
opening the terminal compartment!
– Allow unit to cool down for five minutes or wait until the fans have turned off .
– Risk of electric shock, moving parts (fans) and hot surfaces .

Cross counter flow heat exchanger

Loosen and remove the four screws in the unit door (Fig.27). Then carefully remove the heat exchanger from the unit
(Fig.26).
Brush the blades with a single nozzle and a vacuum cleaner to clean the exchanger, or clean with water.
Do not use aggressive cleaning products!
When installing, place the heat exchanger in the guide rail and push up to the stop. Ensure that the rubber lips of the
unit are not damaged!
