4. oPeration
4.1.
Ford and Volvo 1.4 and 1.6 petrol engine applications with a double crankshaft pulley have a restricted access, and will require the
use of the Sealey VS790 Stretch Belt Installation Tool.
4.2.
fittinG the neW auxiliary belt
4.2.1.
Fit the VSE790.01 Installation Tool over the water pump pulley, ensure the securing bracket is located behind the pulley and tighten
the securing bolt.
4.2.2.
Fit the VS790.02 Guide Tool over the outer part of the crankshaft pulley in the 12 o'clock position with the blade slotted in-between
the two parts of the pulley.
4.2.3.
Fit the new auxiliary belt fully onto all of the pulleys except the water pump, fig.1.
4.2.4.
Using a 17mm spanner, rotate the VS790.01 Installation Tool through approximately 90° to locate the belt onto the water pump
pulley.
4.2.5.
Remove the tooling and rotate the crankshaft through 360° and check to make sure the belt is correctly located on all of the pulleys.
