4. OpERATION
4.1.
Measuring
4.1.1.
With the vehicle ignition oFF, remove the fuse from the circuit to be tested and insert it into the fuse jack (fig.1.9) of the connector to be
used, this ensures the correct level of circuit protection.
4.1.2.
Attach the connector to the tester ensuring the banana adaptors are matched (i.e positive to positive / negative to negative)
4.1.3.
If required switch on the vehicle ignition to energise the circuit and then switch on the TA126.
Press the on/off button (fig.1.4).
4.1.4.
operate the circuit under test and the lCd will display the measured current.
4.1.5.
When finished press the on/off button (fig.1.4) to turn off the tester.
WARNING! The Fuse blade may become hot during testing. Allow to cool before removing.
4.2.
HOLD Function
4.2.1.
The Hold function allows the meter to freeze a measurement for later reference.
4.2.2.
Press the Hold button to freeze the reading on the lCd display. The Hold message will appear in the display.
4.2.3.
Press the Hold button again to return to normal operation.
4.3.
ZERO Function
4.3.1.
The Zero function allows comparison and offset readings of current.
4.3.2.
Press the ZeRo button to reset the displayed figure to 0.0.
4.3.3.
Press the ZeRo button again to return to the actual current reading.
5.
MAINTENANCE

5.1.
Battery Replacement
5.1.1.
Power is supplied by a 9V PP3 battery. The 'BAT' symbol appears on the lCd display when replacement is required.
WARNING! To avoid electric shock ensure all inputs are disconnected from any circuit before removing the battery cover.
5.1.2.
To replace the battery, remove the screw from the back of the unit and remove the cover.
5.2.
Cleaning
5.2.1.
Clean using a soft damp cloth.
5.2.2.
Store in a safe, dry, childproof location.

WEEE REGULATIONS
dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the eU directive on Waste electrical and electronic equipment
(Weee). When the product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally protective way. Contact your local solid
waste authority for recycling information.

Under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, Jack Sealey ltd are required to inform potential purchasers of products
containing batteries (as defined within these regulations), that they are registered with Valpak's registered compliance scheme. Jack
Sealey ltd Batteries Producer Registration number (BPRn) is BPRn00705.
ENvIRONMENT pROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.
