  • Page 3 Safety The CH5075 patient lift reflects an innnovtive state of the art design to enable the lifting and movement of the user. When properly maintained as required, this lift will provide years of trouble free service. Please pay attention to the information found in this manual regarding care, maintenance and use of the lift.
  • Page 4 The CH5075 lift allows the user to be lifted and transferred safely with minimum physical effort by the caregiver. Before attempting to lift anyone, practice operating the lift. Explain the procedure for transferring to the patient prior to actually lifting them.
  • Page 5 Assembly Instructions Step 1. Engage the brakes, remove the black hand nut from the bottom of the mast and remove the quick release pin from the bottom of the mast and base. Step 2. Pull the mast, boom and spreader bar to an upright position. Re- insert the quick release pin into the holes at the bottom of the mast.
  • Page 6 Step 4. Insert the actuator plug into the control box. Step 5. Insert the pendant plug into the control box. Note: Charge the batteries for 10 to 12 hours before the first use. Step 6. Press on the pendant together to move the spreader bar up to the desired height.
  • Page 7 Opearating Instructions Inspection Check List The operator of the lift shall: • Inspect the lift before each use. • Check all bolts for tightness. • Ensure the lift can be widened properly. • Ensure all parts are in place. • Ensure the casters are turning freely and the brakes can be engaged.

  • Page 10 Transferring Instructions Turn the lift on by rotating the red “RESET” button clockwise. Turn the lift off by pressing the “RESET” button down. Transfer from a Bed Note: Explain each step to the patient to reduce any anxiety. 1. Ensure the patient is in the center of the bed. 2.

Help the user lean forward slightly and slide the sling down between the patient’s back and the wheelchair upholstery with the grab handles on the back facing outward.
  • Page 12 Emergency Lowering Mechanism In case of lift failure during use, please follow the following procedure to safely lower the patient. The emergency lowering device is located on top of the actuator shaft. It is intended for use if the actuator stops working while the patient is lifted.
