1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.1. GENERAL SAFETY
F      WARNING! Put the ear defenders on before exposing yourself to noise and wear at all
times during exposure to excess noise levels.

Before use, check that the ear defenders will provide the required level of noise attenuation.

Inspect the ear defenders to ensure there are no tears or snags and that they are in good condition.

1.2. PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
! Ensure there is another person within sight close enough to come to your aid should a problem arise
when working.
2. APPLICATION
2.1 When worn properly and given adequate care, the SSP18 and SSP18F provide excellent
protection which filters the high levels of noise that are encountered in an industrial environment.
3. USE
F      WARNING! These ear defenders are of “normal size range”
complying with BSEN352-1. They are designed to fit the

majority of wearers. If in doubt, seek professional advise.
3.1. Extend the headband to maximum “open” position and place the
cups over the ears with the headband passing over the head.
3.2. Settle the headband in position on the head while adjusting
the height of the ear cups until they feel comfortable and the
headband rests on top of the head to support the muffs.
3.3. The cushions should be a snug fit against the head.
3.4. The pressure of the ear defenders against the head can be
adjusted to by bending the headband thereby ensuring an
effective noise seal.
