INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the Oral Temp Digital Thermometer. Please read the instructions carefully before using the thermometer for the first time. Keep the instructions for future reference. This product is intended for the measurement of the human body temperature via mouth (oral), armpit (axillary) and rectum (rectal). -

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS 1) Use of this thermometer is not intended as a substitute for consultation with your physician or pediatrician. It is for household use only. 2) Keep out of reach of children under 12 years. This thermometer contains multiple small parts which are a hazard to person requiring monitoring or supervision. -

12) Please consult your doctor if you see symptoms such as unexplained irritability, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, changes in appetite or activity, seizure, muscle pain, shivering, stiff neck, pain when urinating, etc., even in the absence of fever. 13) Even in the absence of fever, those who exhibit a normal temperature may still need to receive medical attention. - Page 6 Infrared Thermometer measures the body temperature based on the infrared energy emitted from the eardrum or the forehead. INDICATIONS FOR USE It is important to remember that the body temperature reading depends and varies on the site where it is measured. For this reason, the measurement site must always be consistent in order to ensure that a correct temperature reading is recorded. -

One the temperature has been constant within 0.1°C for 4 seconds the thermometer will beep four times. Remove the thermometer and record the reading. IN THE RECTUM (RECTAL) Placing the thermometer in the rectal canal is the most accurate method from a medical point of view. -

ºC/ºF CONVERSION To switch from ºC to ºF With the screen blank, press and hold the Calibration Button (ON/OFF button). Keep the button pressed down while the thermometer shows 188.88 ºC on your screen Keep the button pressed down and the ºC on the top right corner will switch to ºF and display Lo or Hi with a flashing ºF. -

TO TURN OFF THE THERMOMETER The unit will shut down automatically after 10 seconds of no use. You can also press the ON/OFF button. MEMORY RECALL The unit will has a last memory recall function. With the thermometer off; Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 2-3 seconds. -

TEMPERATURE TAKING TIPS 1) It is important to know each individual’s normal temperature when they are well. This is the only way to accurately diagnose a fever. Record readings twice a day (early morning and late afternoon). Take the average of the two temperatures to calculate normal oral equivalent temperature. -

8) Use an alcohol swab to carefully clean the sensor and wait for 5 minutes before taking a measurement on another patient. Wiping the forehead with a warm or cool cloth may impact your reading.
