Power Switch Alarm Reset

The power switch simply switches the mains power to the pump on and off.
When the pump detects an alarm LED condition, this can be cancelled by switching the pump off and then back on again.

CPR

Please ensure that the CPR tag is always positioned fi rmly into the mattress (Closed), prior to infl ating the mattress.
The mattress will NOT infl ate should the CPR tag not be closed. The CPR tag is only to be used in the event of a clinical
emergency for priority use. However the function can also be used to defl ate air rapidly from the mattress in readiness
for transport.
Controls

Settings

When the system is initially switched on using the power switch as above, simply select the valve from soft to fi rm as
clinically required. Patients who are up to the maximum user weight (24 stone) should be placed on a much fi rmer
setting than a frail or light weigh patient Please be patient and wait until the system fully infl ates from initial installation.
This may take up to 15 minutes from the initial set up.

Normal Pressure

When the system is operating at a normal functioning pressure, then the LED should always be shown as
highlighted left.

Low Pressure

If the mattress is operating at too low a pressure setting, there is a mattress "leak" or indeed if the CPR has not been
closed fully, then a low pressure light will be indicated as shown.

Quick Release Connector

The connectors (male & female coupling) as indicated left can also be used to create a "static mode". This is achieved by
pressing home the male & female section together until locked tight To release the connectors, simply press the metal
release catch.

Filter

The fi lter is situated at the rear of the pump. This can be removed and cleaned whilst on site to improve infection
control measures. Please DO NOT insert the fi lter back into the unit when still wet Electricity and water is a dangerous
combination.
NB: Please ensure that all securing straps on the base of the mattress are secured onto the NON MOVING PARTS of the bed frame.
