Device Placement
Ensure that you have the correct device: red is for right and blue for left.
Place the Simplicity on top of the ear with the ear hook hanging over the
front of the ear (Fig. 1). The Sound port dome should be oriented so that the
tubing is facing toward the opening of the ear canal. Gently push in the tip
of the tubing into your ear canal (Fig. 2).
After inserting the tip of the Sound port dome tubing into the ear canal,
slip the retention cord into the bottom bowl of ear. Push the poly-tube
into the ear canal until it is flush with the outer ear. (Fig 3).

To install a battery, insert the rounded side of the battery into the
door. If properly seated, the flat side should be flush with the top of
the battery door. The battery door should easily snap shut. Do not
force the battery door to close. Use the magnetic end of the utility
brush to easily install or remove a battery.
Turning the device on and off, after installation of a fresh battery,
close the battery door and the device will be "ON" and will start in
Level 1 volume. To turn the device "OFF", swing the battery door
open so the battery is not making contact.

Device Description
To change the volume: press the
volume select button with the tip of
your finger. The number of "beeps"
you hear will indicate the current
volume level. For example, Level 1,
one beep. Level 2, two beeps, and
the same for levels 3 and 4.
Level 1 is the lowest level of volume
and Level 4 is the highest level.
Low battery indicator: a beep-
ing sound that continues several
minutes after pressing the volume
select button is the automatic Low
Battery warning feature. This is
alerting you to change the battery.
