Fire Compact We thank you for selecting a PAB Akrapovic product. PAB helmet Fire Compact version meets safety requirements and conforms to EN 443:2008, MED, EN 14458:2004 and EN166:2004 European standards. It has been designed to protect the head under the most extreme conditions.
Read the instructions carefully before wearing the helmet. PAB accepts no liability, if the product has been used inappropriately or if it is not used as intended. Product liability claims and warranties made by PAB for the product are voided, if the product is not used, serviced or maintained properly.

Safety provided by the helmet can only be ensured when it is properly assembled and correctly fitted, removable parts shall not be worn separately. This helmet complies with the retention requirements of standard EN 443:2008, only when the chin strap supplied by PAB is worn and adjusted in accordance with these instructions.

Fire Compact Tighten the headband: turn the ratchet knob clockwise until the headband is tight but comfortable (fits sizes from 52 to 64 cm). To check whether the headband is correctly adjusted lean your head forward and leave the chin strap unfastened - the helmet shall not fall off.

Fire Compact STANDARD CHIN STRAP Adjust the lower part of the chin strap: pull the Velcro fastener to release the strap and tighten it until tight but comfortable. Press together the two Velcro straps to secure the strap. To facilitate this step, unfasten the chin strap and remove the helmet from the head.

Warning: The face shield and internal goggles will serve to the intended purpose of face and eye guard only in the use position. While using the breathing apparatus (SCBA) the face shield and internal goggles should be in the standby position (stored over the helmet). Face shields worn over non-designated corrective frames may transmit impacts which may damage the corrective eyewear thus creating a hazard to the wearer.

In case of evident damage (impacts, broken parts, significant scratches, torn straps or paddings, coating removal on the shell or visors, missing components, etc.) identified during the regular checks, the helmet shall be sent to a PAB approved maintenance centre for complete control processing.

HELMET Before transport put the face shield and/or the goggles in standby position and place the helmet in a PAB protective textile bag. FACE SHIELDS AND GOGGLES AS SPARE PART The face shields and goggles shall be stored and transported in their plastic bags until mounted on the helmet.
