Important Shelf Life Information
Plug the GSM into a wall outlet immediately upon receipt. An internal battery retains
factory programming. This internal battery has a shelf life of approximately six months from
the factory start-up date. The label affixed to the GSM housing records the factory start-up
date. The battery is not rechargeable.
CAUTION
If the internal battery discharges fully, the GSM will no longer be usable. For
this reason, once you install the GSM, do not shut off the AC power to the GSM.
Reserve the internal battery power for power failure backup.
