Setting up the Unit

Place the unit on a stable and level surface. Never place the unit on a
flammable surface (e.g. table cloth, carpet, etc.). Do not place the unit on a
metal table.
Do not block or cover the ventilation slots (8) and the ventilator (7) of the unit.
This may overheat the unit. Also keep sufficient distances to the ceiling, walls
or other items.
Do not place the induction hotplate next to units or objects, which react
sensitively to magnetic fields (e.g. radios, TVs, cassette recorders, etc.).
Do not place induction hotplates next to open fires, heaters or other sources
of heat.
Make sure that the mains connection cable is not damaged or squashed
beneath the unit. Make sure that the mains connection cable does not come
into contact with sharp edges and/or hot surfaces.

Cookware

Suitable cookwares are flat and magnetic pans and pots, which is made from
cast iron of steel. If a magnet sticks on the bottom, the cookware can be
used. Stainless steel, cast iron, enamelled pans, flat-bottom pans and pots
with a diameter of 12 to 26 cm can be used. Some 18/10 steel pans and pots
with magnetisable bottom can also be used.
The diameter of the cookware should be from 12 – 26 cm. You can also use
cookware with larger diameter, but the area larger than 26 cm will not be
heated up sufficiently.
Cookware made from 18/10 steel, aluminium, copper or glass cannot be use.
Pots/pans with a diameter of less than 12 cm or ceramic pots and cookware
with feet cannot be used.

Operating the Unit

1. Plug the power plug into a suitable outlet. The control LED (3) lights up and
an acoustic signal sounds. Now the unit is in standby mode.
2. Place suitable cookware in the centre of the cooking plate (1).
3. Press the ON/OFF switch (5) to turn the induction hotplate on. Now press the
button HEAT (4). The preset power stage 5 is displayed.
With the rotary switch (6) you can change the settings at any time in a range
from 1 – 10. Each time you change the stage you will hear a short confirma-
tion sound.
