Important Notes
Cartridge recycling
CARBONIT cartridges are recyclable. To safe the environment, used
cartridges should be disposed for recycling by specialist retailers.
Since the activated carbon in CARBONIT filters is made of coconut
shell, used cartridges can be disposed of with household waste.
Note: CARBONIT employs used water filter cartridges only for
industrial purposes, for example in incineration plants. They are not
used for production of new filters.]
The activated carbon
Generally, the activated carbon filters used for this system differ from
table or can filters. Can filters that are used for optimizing the taste
and view of the water are not able to remove pollutants from the water.
SANUNO is a TÜV-certified block filter made of activated carbon (also
available with an activated carbon membrane cartridge). The high-
quality activated carbon has a very large inner surface and thus a very
high absorption capacity. This allows removing lead, copper,
pharmaceutical residues and hormones, while minerals are left in the
drinking water.
Maintenance of SANUNO
Basic maintenance with each cartridge exchange
Carefully extract the tap and remove lime residues.

Clean the filter cup (seat of the seal) with suited cleaning agents.

Clean the filter mesh of the diverter valve with suited cleaning

agents.
Check the mechanical function and wear parts (seals, diverter
!
valve etc.) of the device.
The manufacturer excludes all liability and warranty claims
!
caused by non-observance of Maintenance after long standstill
(e.g. holiday).
Repeat the last steps described regarding the cartridge activation
!
for initial setup of the filter system.
