Charging
Before using the M166 it is necessary to charge the unit for 24 hours. To charge the
device, place it in the desktop charger, the red LED will indicate that it is charging.
Power On and Off
The power button is on the right hand side of the unit and is marked with this symbol Ɵ.
To power on the device, press the power button briefly. The blue LEDs on the front of
the device will flash in a circular pattern once. The blue LED inside the power button will
flash every 5 seconds to indicate that the device is switched on.
To power off the device, press and hold the power button for either 5, 10 or 15 seconds.
This time is configured by your system administrator.
Answer a Call
When you receive a call, the device will ring and the blue LEDs around Button 1 (front)
will flash. Press Button 1 (front) to accept the call. You can press and hold Button 1 (front)
to reject the incoming call.
It is also possible for the system administrator to program automatic answer (after a
delay).
Make/End a Call
Numbers are pre-programmed into the device by your system administrator.
Button 1 (front) and button 2 (top) can be configured for either Alarm notification or to
place calls.
If configured to place a call, simply press the appropriate button once.
To cancel a call in progress, press and hold button 1 (front) for 2 seconds. This also
cancels calls placed using Button 2 (top).
LED Indications
The M166 had four LED notifications:
Top red LED - Illuminated indicates that the device is charging
Top green LED - Indicates a voice call is active (ringing or answered)
Front blue LEDs - Left + Right flashing together indicates Night Visibility Mode.
Flashing clockwise indicates an incoming call
On/Off blue LED - Flashes every 5 seconds to indicate the device is powered on
