Why does my Dehumidifier ( Pelonis PAD20C1AWT) not set to the 50% but when trying to set, but reduces to 30%. This is in a basement.

The Pelonis PAD20C1AWT dehumidifier may reduce humidity to 30% instead of maintaining 50% in a basement due to the CONTINUOUS mode function. When this mode is activated, the set humidity is automatic and cannot be manually adjusted. Additionally, basements often have lower temperatures, which can affect the unit’s operation and cause it to remove more moisture than intended.
