EQUIPMENT CARE
Never push the equipment beyond its design
limits. If it will not do what you want with reasonable
ease, assume you have the wrong type of pump for the
job. Ask at your local HSS Hire Shop for advice.
Keep the equipment clean. You will find this less of a
chore if you clean up regularly rather than wait until the
end of the hire.
Handle hoses with care. Never lay them over sharp
edges, where they could be walked on, or anywhere
else that exposes them to the risk of damage.
When not in use, store the equipment somewhere
clean, dry and safe from thieves. Protect this
equipment from frost and freezing temperatures.
Never pump anything other than clean water,
never use it to pump dangerous or corrosive liquids.
Always de-pressurise the system following the
recommended method. Releasing the pressure in any
other way could cause the pump to lock up.
FINISHING OFF
To release the pressure in the system, open the shut
off valve or the 'V2' valve.
Drain down the system being tested then disconnect
the pump' s pressure hose.
Finally, coil the hose neatly in the box ready for
return to your local HSS Hire Shop.
