Installation Details For Quest Abyss Activity Unit (QU05)

1 Construct base as per drawing P/QU05/01 ensuring the correct levels for safety surfacing.
2 Excavate 400mm x 400mm holes for Posts as in drawing P/QU05/02 to a depth of 500mm
(800mm for loose fill) from finished safety surfacing height. (All Posts have finished ground
level marks)
3 Position the Posts as per drawing P/QU05/02, all posts are numbered
(Tap holes with a 10mm tap and make sure bolts are only hand tight at this stage)
4 Fit the Posts in to the excavated holes and connect together using the various components as in
drawing P/QU05/04 and the attached visual.
5 Excavate 400mm x 400mm holes for events as in drawing P/QU05/03 to a depth of 500mm
(800mm for loose fill) from finished safety surfacing height.
6 Connect the events as per drawing P/QU05/04 using M10 x 30 resistorx & nylon washers.
7 When installing the climb wall panel to the top and bottom rail use the M10 x 50 resistorx bolts
& plastic caps.
8 When installing the rotating platform assemble the top wishbone, remove the cap from the
rotator top and insert in to the wishbone making sure it is inserted all the way in, before
concreting in place make sure the rotator is spinning freely.
9 Connect all ropes using the 8mm quick links & vandal pins.
10 Once all equipment is fitted check levels again, tighten all bolts and concrete in to the ground.
