    User manual THERA-Trainer bemo INTRODUCTION We are pleased to be able to give you an introduction to the THERA-Trainer bemo with this user manual. The following instructions for use refer to the essential functions that are important for understanding how the THERA-Trainer bemo works and how it is used.

    The securing system consists of a hexagon. Turn the crank of the foot rest so that the hexagon is aligned with the receptacle. The THERA-Trainer displays the selected position of the radius of movement in the control and display unit.

    Starting up the THERA-Trainer:  Connect power plug to socket. Operating system boots up. After the operating system has booted up, the THERA-Trainer is ready for operation.  Make sure that the audio-visual signal is working when T.assist is available (see chapter 17.3.5).

    Radius of movement – position 2 = 85 mm ‒ The THERA-Trainer recognises which positions have been selected (see chapter 18.1.3). It is possible to set different ranges of movement on the right and left side, e.g. for different leg lengths or different mobility.

     Only transport the THERA-Trainer with double steering castors on level and firm ground. When installing the THERA-Trainer, make sure that the trainer is placed on a level, firm and non-slip surface and that the parking brakes are locked. Reposition the THERA-Trainer if the position of the trainer changes during therapy.

    ‒ For patients who weigh less than 180 kg. In principle, the same indications and contraindications apply to therapy with the THERA-Trainer as to manual therapeutic treatment. Knowledge about contraindications is essential in order not to put patients at risk.

     Place the THERA-Trainer on a level, firm and non-slip surface.  Make sure parking brakes are locked correctly.  Position the THERA-Trainer so that the power plug is easily accessible and can be pulled out of the socket quickly in case of emergency.

    Use easy entry for easier exit (see chapter 18.1.2).  With upper body training, remove arms from therapy grips/arm rests.  Adjust height of the THERA-Trainer to be able to move it over the bed/couch.  Release parking brakes.  Move trainer to the back away from the bed/couch.

     Prior to any cleaning or disinfection, disconnect the power plug from the socket.  Make sure that no cleaning agent or disinfectant gets into the THERA-Trainer.  If any cleaning agent or disinfectant gets into the THERA-Trainer, contact a trained supplier immediately. NOTE! Material damage due to incorrect cleaning or disinfection.
  • Page 47  Carefully clean and disinfect foils and stickers to avoid damaging them.  Allow cleaned/disinfected parts to dry completely.  Only use the THERA-Trainer again after the contact time and drying time defined by disinfectant manufacturer has passed.  Follow the instructions of the disinfectant manufacturer, as well as applicable legal provisions.
