The intended use is for security and door opener applications.     2.1 Intended Applications with the iSYS-5005 The iSYS-5005 radar sensor has two different modes which can be selected in our Object Viewer software. The sensor was developed for security and door opener applications, but can of course also be used in other applications.

    6. QUICK START GUIDE The first installation of the iSYS-5005 Evaluation Kit is very quick and easy. In this section you will find a description of the first setup of the sensor in a very quick procedure. Information on detailed setup can be found from page 14 onwards.
  • Page 13 Step: Congratulations! You have just started your iSYS-5005 Evaluation Kit Sensor System. The easy installation is one smart feature of the iSYS-5005 Evaluation Kit. The Object Viewer Software enables a quick config- uration of all necessary parameters. For more information on advanced setting options such as setting individual zones see the following pages.

    These figures show a typical installation of the iSYS-5005 in a security and door opener application and the right orientation of the sensor. Take care that the area of interest fits into the Field of View of the device. The iSYS-5005 is used to identify and track moving, approaching and passing objects.

    User Manual 8. CONNECTION The iSYS-5005 Evaluation Kit is connected with a micro USB port on the side of the Eval-Board as a customer interface (USB cable is not included). 8.1. Connector Placement The iSYS-5005 as a series product provides a 5x2, 1.27mm pitch Pin header. This connector (W+P 46-7072-010-20-00-00) is mounted on the module facing backwards.

    It is recommended to configure the system with InnoSenT’s Object Viewer software. This way configuration data can easily be written to the system. The configuration is explained in section [10]. The configuration data can also be manually set by using iSYS-5005 Radar API. This library includes all functions for communi- cation with InnoSenT systems.

    User Manual 10. CONFIGURATION USING OBJECT VIEWER The Object Viewer is the primary software solution to configure the iSYS-5005 Evaluation Kit for use in the field. 10.1. Installation of Object Viewer The Object Viewer can only be installed on a Windows PC. The setup files can be found in the device’s software package or downloaded on our website (https://www.innosent.de/downloadportal/).

    10.3. Overview of Object Viewer InnoSenT’s Object Viewer is a software solution to configure your iSYS-5005 when installed in the field and visualize the data output from the system. The most important features of the Object Viewer are highlighted below. The Object Viewer is in- tended for visualizing the tracked data obtained from the sensor and simplifies the evaluation of the system.

    10.9. Save Configuration When you have finished configuring the iSYS-5005 Evaluation Kit it is recommended to save the settings to a file on your PC. This can be done in the File Menu of the Object Viewer. The file stored is an .ocf File. For an offline evaluation of recorded data, this .ocf file needs to be loaded first.

    10.11. Update Firmware It is possible to update the firmware of the iSYS-5005. In order to do this, click the Update Firmware button in the Extras Menu. Select a firmware update (if available), select the Serial Port with the connected iSYS-5005 sensor and click the OK button to start the firmware update.
