  • Page 7 Qtv 2020 | Installation Guide Hot Keys The following Hot Keys are dedicated short cuts to return the user to the video service regardless of the content or App being viewed. MENU: Displays the Main Menu. LAST: Displays the last 15 items that have been watched.

  • Page 12 Qtv 2020 | Installation Guide Network Connection You must connect your new STB to an internet connection through either a WiFi wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection. Wired Network Connection If your home router is near the STB location, a CAT-5/5e/6 Ethernet cable may be used for internet connectivity.
  • Page 13 Qtv 2020 | Installation Guide WiFi Network Connection Connect Automatically Using WPS Navigate to the Android main menu by pressing the following key sequences: Home — > Settings — > Network — > WiFi — > Select to enable. Once WiFi has been enabled, using the remote scroll down and select “Connect via WPS”.

    Qtv 2020 | Installation Guide INITIAL BOX POWER ON The following screens describe the remote key sequences required to setup the KSTB2020. When powered up and fully booted, the box will start on this screen. The three digit number will be unique and change each time the remote is paired.
  • Page 15 Qtv 2020 | Installation Guide Select Skip and press OK to continue. The following screen will be displayed. If the end user wishes to login with their Google ID they may do so at this point. If not, select Skip and press OK to continue.

Select Continue and press OK to get to the next screen. On the Welcome screen, arrow right five times to get to the next screen.

  • Page 20 Qtv 2020 | Installation Guide An example login screen is shown. This will be unique for each subscriber. Credentials may be entered using the remote or via a USB keyboard (recommended). Once logged in, the following screen will be displayed. Select “DETAILS” to be prompted for Wi-Fi network section and sign in.

    If the home router is near the Set Top Box location, a CAT-5/5e/6 Ethernet cable may be used for Internet connectivity. Plug one end of the CAT-5/5e/6 cable into the Qtv STB RJ-45 port. Plug the other end of the cable into any LAN port of the home router.

  • Page 25 Qtv 2020 | Installation Guide Remote Behavior If the remote has been programmed to the TV and Audio Systems as described on the previous page, the remote’s TV power button ( ) will control the TV power only. This will not affect the powered state of the STB. The “all devices” power button ) will control the TV power as well as the STB and audio system power states if remote has been fully programmed with TV and Audio system.
