Working Principle
When the battery is being charged, the charging current is dependant on the type of battery. Generally
it it is above c. 10% of the max. current of the battery.
Charging Time
The charging time depends on the battery. A rule of thumb is
During the charging process the charging current will continue to drop, Extending the charging time by
at least ¼ longer. The battery charger can charge one or multiple batteries at the same time, which
again extends the charging time when multiple batteries are charged at once.
If you wish to start a vehicle with the booster, please note:

If the engine is bigger it makes sense to boost charge it for 15 minutes prior to trying to restart
it.
2.
In case you wish to start a diesel engine, let the glow plugs preheat, before trying to start the
engine.
For charging connect the red battery clamp with the positive terminal and the black clamp with the neg-
ative terminal – never switch them around!
Connect the connection cables of the charger with the battery. Connect the red cable (+) with the positive
terminal (+) of the battery and the black cable (–) with the negative terminal (–) of the battery. If the
battery is still in the vehicle connect the black cable (–) with the engine block, functioning as grounding.
Ensure that the ignition and all electrical equipment parts are switched off. (If the vehicle has positive
mass, connect the red cable (+) with the engine block.)
Operation of the -230, -330 and -430 Series Boosters

First of all choose the right battery voltage (12 V or 24 V), the connect the first battery clamp
with the battery pole.

Switch rocker "2" onto on CB and switch "4" onto MIN or MAX, then switch "3" on "1 – normal
charge" or "2 – boosted charge".

Then turn the charger on by pushing the main switch "1" onto "I – on", which will start the charg-
ing process.

If you wish to start a car engine, then push switch "2" onto START, then push switch "1" onto "I
– on", charge the battery for 2 minutes. Then disconnect the charger from the battery and try
starting the car engine for max. 4 – 5 seconds. If the engine does not start after 3 – 4 tries, wait
10 more minutes before trying to boost charge the car battery again.
