NOTICE
for 7720 SUBSCRIBER
RADIO
BAITERY
CHARGING VOLTAGE
The 7720 is poweredfrom its internalbattery.This battetycan be charged
froma controlpanelwhoseoutputvoltage(fromeither
its
auxiliary output or
directlyfrom its battery)is between 14.0 and 14.2VDC, or can be charged
from its own internal chargingcircuit when
used with an Ademco 1324
(12VAC,40VA)Wall
Transformer.
The 7720s charginginputwill draw approximately50mA continuousand
400mA peak current. tf the control panel being used cannot
supply
the required voltage and current, a 1324 Transformer must be
used in order to guarantee battery Ilfe and radio performance.
If usingthe 1324 Wall
Transformer, a suitable 110VAC receptacle must be
bcated. The receptacle's
chwit
shouldnotbe switchable or be in a bcation
where it is likelyto be tamperedwith. Make connections
using
20 gaugeor
largerwire, and connectto the 7720'sTB2 terminals,locatedon the edgeof
the radiobetweenTBl andthe programming j umpers(seediagrambelow).
If the control panel's output
voltage is suitable for powering
the 7720, the
panel's output vottage connections
can be made
directly to the
7720 in
accordance withthe 7720's
InstallationInstructions.
