5.10 Replacement of Pump Valves and Diaphragms
Note: It is recommended that if one or more diaphragms and/or valves
Diaphragm pump overhaul kit (valves, seals, diaphragms, etc.):
Changing valves
1. Remove the valve covers (A) (Fig. 30). Before changing the valves
(B) (Fig. 30), note their orientation so they are replaced correctly. It
is recommended to use new O-rings (C) (Fig. 30) when changing or
checking the valves.
Changing diaphragms
1. Remove the diaphragm covers (D) (Fig. 30).
2. Remove the diaphragm bolts (E) (Fig. 30).
3. The diaphragms (F) (Fig. 30) may now be changed.
4. If fl uids have reached the crankcase, re-grease the pump thoroughly. Also
make sure the drain hole at the bottom of the pump is not blocked.
