    How Cannon Works The Cannon Optimum downrigger can be wirelessly networked to give you access to trolling data and let you raise, lower and cycle weights using the LCD display, your Humminbird control head, or your mobile device. By pairing compatible Bluetooth devices to the Cannon, you can wirelessly control the Cannon from anywhere on your boat.

    Adjust the Line Settings Select the amount of Line on Spool, Line Type and Line Weight. Change the Amount of Line on the Spool Program the downrigger with the amount of line on the spool. The spool comes installed with 400 feet of stainless steel line, and the Line on the Spool is set to the default of 400 feet.

In order to avoid continuous weight adjustments due to minor changes in bottom depth and boat motion caused by wave action, you have the ability to adjust the responsiveness of the weight.
