     BGS2-E Release Notes Confidential / Released Preamble This Release Note refers to the Cinterion GSM/GPRS module BGS2-E 01.301 (A-Revision 01.000.03) Named 01.301c, this Release Note is an update of the earlier document version 01.301b. Chapter 2 provides an overview of the new and improved features. Please note that these modifications have no impact on Type Approval.

     BGS2-E Release Notes Confidential / Released Getting Started with BGS2-E For testing and debugging purposes BGS2-E is supplied as an evaluation module. The evaluation module comprises of the actual SMT module soldered onto a PCB with a 60-pin board-to-board connector on its bottom side that can be connected to Cinterion’s Development Support Board DSB75 DSB75 is an evaluation kit designed for a wide range of Cinterion wireless modules.
  • Page 9  BGS2-E Release Notes Confidential / Released  Plug the 50 Ohms RF antenna to the SMA connector (X305) of the BG2-DSB75 Adapter.  Connect RS-232 cables to the 9-pin SubD connectors on the DSB75: Use COM1 (X201) for the module’s first asynchronous interface ASC0. Use COM 2 (X202) for the module’s second asynchronous interface ASC1.
