Disassembly:
Tighten the 2 low profile knurled lock-down screws on the bottom of the feeder to lock

perch ring and prevent it from activating.
2. Remove the Phillips head screw (shaft screw) which will release the black rubber stopper,
hub, perch ring and plastic spacer.
3. Remove the 3 slotted knurled screws and gently lift upper portion.
4. Take out the batteries.
5. Remove the 3 small Phillips head screws from underneath in the area which the 3 slotted
knurled screws were located.
6. Gently lift the upper portion of the perch/motor unit to expose the inside and remove the
broken ring gear.
Assembly:
1. Note: Do not remove the White Lithium Grease on the Ring Gear.
2. Insert the new Ring Gear on top of the large metal washer and spring.
3. Guide the black and red wires into the recessed area, using the tab to hold them back and
away from Ring Gear.
4. Seat the 2 halves of the unit properly and replace the 3 Phillip head screws.
5. Attach the perch ring assembly, in this order, spacer, perch ring, hub and black rubber
stopper and replace shaft screw.
6. Replace the batteries, making sure to align them correctly.
7. Insert the perch/motor unit into the port unit of the feeder, making sure to line up the small
tab on the port unit with the arrowhead on the underside of the perch/motor unit.
8. Install the 3 slotted knurled screws and tighten.
9. Loosen the 2 low profile knurled lock-down screws on the bottom of the feeder to activate.
