GUIDING SYSTEMS
Displays either the gain or
a system status code.
Det 1 Guide
Lit when the system is
guiding with detector 1
(edge 1).
Det 2 Guide
Lit when the system is
guiding with detector 2
(edge 2).
Center Guide
Lit when the system is
guiding with both
detectors (center guide);
blinks when in web setup.
Detector Select: Selects the detector or
detectors used for control: edge 1 allows
guiding from detector 1 only, edge 2 from
detector 2 only, and center guide from both
.

Servo Center: Switches control to servo center.
In servo center, the actuator travels to a preset
center position. Exit servo center control by press-
ing either manual or automatic.
Manual Control: Switches control to manual, al-
lowing the operator to jog (reposition) the actuator.
Jog using the arrow keys. Exit manual by pressing
automatic or servo center .
Automatic Control: Switches control to auto-
matic. Exit automatic by pressing either manual
or servo center.

Gain Adjust Mode Indicator.
H6415
Amplifi er in automatic mode;
blinks when the line-run relay input
is energized in automatic.
Amplifi er in
manual mode.
Amplifi er in servo center mode.
User keys
(see below).
Web Setup: In this mode, the amplifi er is informed
of the detector(s) and web characteristics. 1) Press
manual key. 2) Press this key. 3) Pass the web
material fully into, then fully out of the detector's
fi eld of view. Do not let fi ngers or printing on
the web enter the fi eld of view. 4) Press key
again. If pressed accidently, press any green key
to escape.
Left Jog Key: Used to manually jog the actuator
left or to decrease the gain.
Right Jog Key: Used to manually jog the actuator
right or to increase the gain.
Gain: Used to adjust the control response. Press
this key, then use the arrow keys to increase or
decrease the system response (0-999). Press
again to accept the value and to exit this mode.
