Feitong FT-8200 satellite EPIRB is designed to operate with COSPAS- SARSAT GEOSAR and LEOSAR Search and Rescue System ,full compliant COSPAS-SARSAT T.001, T.007 Class2 and meets IMO A810 (19).

Page 12: Operation Procedure
Before you install the EPIRB ,you should decide a suitable mounting position on the vessel. It should be mounted upright against a vertical buck head and suffi- cient space for operation.(If possible hold FT-8200 up in hand and turn on by man- ual activated) NOTE: FT-8200 is not allowed to place in horizontal position, cabinet or near by exhaust fumes, chemical and oil sources. -

3.2 BEACON ACTIVATION When FT-8200 activated, the red LED working status light is remain “ON” and beep sound for 2 second after then red LED change to “flash” light status, strobe light flash means beacon into alerting, TX121 LED flash means of 121.5MHz transmis- sion, TX406 LED flash means of 406MHz data message is alerting, GNSS LOCK LED “ON”... - Page 14 For survivor who carry the EPIRB into life raft, in order to be rescued in a shortest possible time that you can tie the EPIRB FT-8200 to the life raft with the rope at- tached and throw the EPIRB into the sea water.

Lift up the lever switch to 90 degree then slide to left and push forward to “ACT” position ,monitor the red light is flashing that FT-8200 is activated. Figure 3-8: Manual Activation illustration Chart 3.3 SELF TEST MODE NOTE: A warning to limit testing to the first five minutes of the hour, as the sat- ellite EPIRB emits a 121.5 MHz signal during self-test. - Page 16 ■ SELF TEST OPERATION PROCEDURE y Took out FT-8200 from its container y Lift up mechanical spring lever switch to 45 degree, if green light flash that EPIRB self test is “start” by magnetic switch then leave your hand away from the test switch it will be automatically back to normal Off / Ready position.

EPIRB has been badly fitted in its mounting bracket. The FT-8200 bracket has a hidden magnet to hold EPIRB in an off state. If the FT-8200 is wrongly fitted the magnet does not work and heavy rain may activate the water switch. -

4. TRANSPORTATION This product contains small lithium metal batteries it may be classified as a hazardous cargo. Please check with the forwarder service for any additional restrictions condition in your shipment transport. 5. REGISTRATION Every EPIRB is pre-programmed with a unique identity before it reaches the customer and not allowed to modify during the using periods .This is done by the manufacturer or authorize distributor only. -

HRU expiry date have to mark on the yellow label (the expiration period is 2 years from installation day). Normally, the FT-8200 is installed on the two sides of the Navigation Bridge or compass deck for the vessel. The installation place should be accessible for easy maintenance and manual start. - Page 20 Put EPIRB into lower container and the “FTGMDC” sign of FT-8200 need to face up up- per container. Very gently bend the antenna to right position then put it into the lower container.

7.2 ANNUAL INSPECTION The annual inspection of the EPIRB should be carried out by related government organization then the qualify service station have to present a report for FT-8200 all function checklist of vessel data、working condition and device expiry date. -
