Voltage power supply module
EN Installation instructions
A)  Important information – please read carefully
This leaflet describes the installation of the power supply module gesis RM-PS 12/5.
CAUTION
This device must be inserted in a gesis terminal block (gesis RAN) or a similar
enclosure due to the protection class and protection type.
All electrical installations and connections may only be carried out by trained
electrical specialists.
The necessary regulations (e.g. EN 50090-2-2) are met if the devices are pro-
cessed into an end product in an expert manner. The notes given here, the valid
norms, regulations and safety specifications as well as the ESD guidelines must
be taken into account during processing.
The prevailing safety and accident prevention regulations must be observed.
When looping through the voltages, the maximum current of 16 A may not be
exceeded.
B)  Functional description
The voltage power pack is designed for supplying up to two base modules from the
gesis RM series, together with their connected extension modules. It has a wide
range input and is suitable for AC as well as DC circuits. The output (12.5 V DC/ 5 W) is
protected against short circuits, overload and temperature rise.

D)  Assembly
Installation of modules:
1.
Latch the module onto the DIN rail.
2.
Establish mains connection and connection to the outputs via the corresponding
terminal strip.
E)  Dismantling
1.
Establish that the module is isolated from the supply.
2.
Disconnect the connections on the terminal strips.
3.
Insert a screwdriver into the interlocking slide and remove the module from the DIN
rail.
