Each relay can be programmed to respond to a wide variety of MIDI messages, including Note, Control Change, Program Change, and System Exclusive messages, and programmed settings are retained even after power is removed from the unit. The MIDI Solutions R8 is MIDI-powered and requires no batteries or power supply to operate.

PROGRAMMING The R8 is programmed by sending it MIDI System Exclusive programming commands from a computer with a MIDI interface.
