2. Before using the machine Fitting the belt clip The belt clip is factory fitted. For your convenience it can be fitted to either side of the driver. • Unscrew the Phillips screw. • Fit the belt clip to the other side of the machine.
3. Using the machine Forward / Reverse • Select the direction of rotation by pressing the forward/reverse switch (A). The forward / reverse switch has a lock function and cannot be used when the trigger is depressed. CAUTION: Ensure the driver has come to a complete stop before changing direction.
LED worklight The driver is equipped with an LED worklight that facilitates working in inaccessible, dark places. • g i l u l l immediately after pulling the trigger and turns off once you release the trigger. 4. 4. Maintenance and cleaning The machine requires very little maintenance but must be kept clean and free of dust at all times. Pay particular attention to the ventilation slots and blow out using compressed air if necessary. • Retract the protective guard by hand and carefully remove the saw blade. • Clean the clamping arrangement and mount the replacement saw blade by following the above procedure in reverse order. TRIGGER SWITCH • • To switch the tool on, press the lock off button (B), then squeeze the on/off switch (A). • Releasing the trigger turns the motor OFF. NOTE: This tool has no provision to lock the switch in the ON position, and should never be locked in the ON position by any other means.

Sawing Caution • Wear safety goggles to protect your eyes from flying chips or dust. • Wear a dust mask. • When cutting metal wear protective gloves to protect your hands from hot flying chips. • Be sure to hold the saw’s shoe firmly against the workpiece while cutting.

Plunge cutting Caution • Never perform plunge cuts into metal. • Take particular care when making plunge cuts into walls, floors or ceiling. Use a suitable detector to locate and avoid cables, pipes or cable conduits that may be hidden beneath the surface. Plunge cutting is only possible in softer materials such as softwood, plasterboard and polystyrene.
4. Cleaning, maintenance and storage Cleaning • Clean the battery charger using a soft, dry cloth. Disconnect the charger from the main socket supply before cleaning. • Remove the battery before cleaning the tool. • Ensure that the ventilation slots are not blocked and clean the machine’s housing regularly with a soft cloth.
