Special circumstances:
• Extremely tight wheel locks could be handled by loosen the other wheel bolts and
tighten them afterwards with a slight increase torque (approx. 130 – 140 Nm). This
will produce a tension which should make it more easier to unscrew the wheel lock as
described on the previous page.
• On older 3-pin systems with rotating outer ring you need to remove or block them
first.
• The 4-pin systems have a very flat collar but
less space to handle. Here you need to
grind the most convenient socket to the
required length. If necessary you also need
to grind the outside surface of the socket to
make the wall strength thinner. Be careful
with this and always check in-between to
avoid that the strength of the socket is too
thin and will crack.
• Coloured wheel locks are slippery. Simply hit the socket
slightly two or three times on the wheel lock until the
paint is worn.
The sockets from these set are consumable parts and could be ordered individually .
You will find the related description/type of the socket on the side wall of the socket.
Sockets which you have grinded for individually demands could be used up for intermediate
sizes.
Do not use cracked/damaged sockets anymore. Pls. refer to the safety instructions of this
manual.
