Initial use

Inserting/exchanging batteries

♦ Loosen the screw of the battery compartment cover with a crosshead screw-
driver and remove the battery compartment cover.
♦ Insert the 2 Type AAA/Micro batteries resp. replace the used batteries with
new ones.
♦ Pay heed to the correct polarity, as shown in the battery compartment
♦ Replace the battery compartment cover and retighten the screw.

Using the measuring tape

WARNING
The measuring tape retracts automatically.
Do not allow the measuring tape
guide it back by hand. There is also a risk of personal injury!
NOTICE
► With the measuring tape
the metric system or in the Anglo/American system. The upper scale shows
lengths in feet and inches, the lower scale in meters and centimeters.
♦ Slide the restrainer
