The purpose of this manual is to provide the knowledge necessary for the use and maintenance of the Platform stacker with forks Art. 0782, and create a sense of responsibility and understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the device entrusted to the operator.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES RAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF SAFETY OPERATIONAL AND RISK WARNINGS The following boxes are designed to attract the attention of the reader / user for the proper and safe use of the machine: Pay attention This highlights behavioural rules to prevent damage to the machine and/or the occurrence of dangerous situations.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 2 SAFETY WARNINGS 2.1 General safety rules for hand stackers Risks associated with the use of the machine Do NOT underestimate the risks related to the use of the machine and stay focused on the work you are carrying out. Risks associated with the use of the machine Despite the implementation of all safety devices for safe use of the machine, it is necessary to take note of all the accident prevention requirements highlighted in various parts of this...
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 4. Do not perform tasks on the machine other than those for which it was designed. Only use the machine in the manner in which it was intended, as described in this instruction manual. 5. Work without disturbances. 6.

4 INTENDED USE AND DESCRIPTION OF THE HAND STACKER The Platform stacker with forks (Art. 0782), is a machine designed for the lifting and transportation of loads, arranged on pallets or in normalised containers, on flat smooth floors (such as the floors of industrial warehouses) with appropriate hardness and resistance (capable of supporting the weight of the Truck pallet plus the maximum rated load capacity).
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES The Truck pallet is made up of the following parts (see Figure 1): a strong metal structure, equipped with a pair of forks on which a loading platform can be applied (ref. 3) that can be varied in height from the ground level; ...
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES The chain holding bracket (ref. 10), prevents the lifting chain from becoming a dangerous whip in the event of sudden breakage. The travel limit mechanical stops (ref. 11) on the upper part of the upright, limit the upward travel of the fork carriage, preventing it from sliding off and falling.

The plate shows the value of 400 kg, which the Truck pallet Art. 0782 can lift up to a height of 1,500 mm, for a uniformly distributed load on the platform with the centre of gravity 350 mm from the fork holder plate.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 5 IMPROPER USE AND CONTRAINDICATIONS The following actions described, which obviously can not cover the entire range of potential possibilities of "misuse" of the machine, are to be considered strictly prohibited. THE FOLLOWING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED! Lifting persons and/or animals that could fall;...

MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES THE FOLLOWING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED! It is forbidden to transport people! Serious injury may result from the transport of people. Do not allow anyone to stand near or under the Truck pallet when in motion. Maintain a safe distance between the truck pallet, people and obstacles to give the operator time to stop if necessary.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 6 TRANSPORTING, LIFTING AND MOVING The lifting of the Truck pallet for transport can be done by means of a crane or other lifting equipment of suitable load capacity. 6.1 Lifting the truck pallet Insufficient load capacity ...
Carry out a test lift (unloaded) before proceeding with actual use. 7.3 Installing the loading plate The Truck pallet stacker art. 0782 is equipped with forks and a load support plate. The plate is equipped with a mechanical bracket and lateral edges that hold it in position and prevent it from slipping off in a longitudinal or transverse direction.
(Figure 10 A) in which it does not prevent the normal movement of the pallet; and a position in which lifting operations can be performed (Figure 10 B). Figure 10 – Close-up of the lowering lever Art. 0782. The return of the lever into position is ensured by a return spring (see Figure 11).
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 8.1.1 Lowering the load. To lower the load, turn the knob Figure 12 anticlockwise. The speed of descent depends on the speed of rotation: the greater the rotation the greater the speed with which the platform descends, and vice versa. Figure 12 –...
Page 22
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 4. Insert the platform under the load (pallet or normalised container) by pushing the Truck pallet forward. Moving the Truck pallet forward Push the Truck pallet slowly and with the utmost care. If necessary, adjust the height of the platform. 5.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 8.3 Lifting the load Tipping and/or overturning The manual movement of heavy loads involves a risk of tipping / overturning resulting from movements carried out quickly and without paying due attention. The assigned workers must, therefore, perform the manoeuvres of moving the stacker, especially on curves or at low speed, with extreme caution.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 9. Extract the platform from under the load which has been deposited on the pile / shelf by pulling the truck pallet backwards. To do so, use the grip handle located at the rear of the lifting upright (operator side). 10.Lower the platform to the ground or to the desired height by turning the lowering knob.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 9 MAINTENANCE The purpose of this chapter is to provide all the information on maintenance procedures and frequency that the Truck Pallet requires. Maintenance and repairs must be performed by qualified personnel. For the execution of maintenance operations, refer to the complete drawings and the list of components found in chapter 12 of this manual.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 9.3 Long-term maintenance and inspection programmes In addition to the daily safety checks, regular checks and maintenance must be carried out according to the following intervals: Every month or 100 hours of use* Every six months or 500 hours of use* ...
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 9.6 Annual inspections or every 1,000 hours Annual inspections or every 1,000 hours Component Action Hydraulic system Replace hydraulic oil, filters (first replacement after 500 hours), clean tubes and connections, check and tighten if necessary. Brake Check pads and the wear of contact surfaces, replacing if necessary.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 10 TROUBLESHOOTING The following table shows the type of defect / problem, possible causes, and possible remedies for the malfunction. The table is a useful aid for the maintenance technician when looking for problems with the machine. Fault Cause Solution...
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 11 DECOMMISSIONING 11.1 Hand stacker downtime The Truck pallet does not need to undergo specific conservation treatment if it is not used for long periods. Just make sure that it is kept away from atmospheric agents. 11.2 Disassembly and disposal of materials and components If the machine is to be scrapped, its parts must be separated for disposal.
