You can use Alexa with VSSL, by connecting an Echo Dot to an input on the

VSSL. As an input all of the control and volume can be controlled by Alexa. In the

VSSL app, you can select the Echo Dot as a source on any room.

In this guide we will recomend how to connect an Echo Dot and conﬁgure your

VSSL to work with it.

1 . C O N N E C T T H E E C H O D O T

Via Cable:

If you your Echo Dot can be installed in close proximity to your VSSL then

it is best to connect the Echo Dot to the VSSL via an analog audio cable.

For example: you have an Echo Dot on a counter top and the VSSL stored

in a cubord below.

You'll need to purchase a 3.5mm to RCA cable. Like the one shown below:

Connect the 3.5mm end of the cable to the Echo Dot and the RCA end

of the cable to an input on the VSSL:

A.6 Inputs: Bus In 1-2, Zone In 1-6

Page 2 U S I N G A L E X A W I T H V S S L Via Bluetooth Receiver: If your VSSL isn’t in close you may be able to use a Bluetooth receiver. These receivers can work well up to 50-70ft indoors depending on the obstacles.
Page 3 Now that the connection has been made, we will name the input in the VSSL app so this source can be played to any room in your house. Open the VSSL app and go to settings. Select the device you connected the Echo Dot to via cable or bluetooth reciever.

Page 5 U S I N G A L E X A W I T H V S S L Now you can select the Echo Dot on any room in the house. Press the icon. Note that the VSSL will default to play the Echo as long as the it is selected on the home screen.
