7.9.3.1
Firmware update after INI reset with DIP switch 6
IMPORTANT
Neither the power supply nor the connection to the programming interface may be interrupted during
a firmware update
Task
1. Switch off the power supply at the Compact Reader
- the access point is blocked for the entire time
2. Set DIP switch 6 to ON and connect the power supply
(in the case of an uninterrupted power supply, changing the status of
DIP switch 6 has no effect)
3. Connect programmer to control unit
Information If the programmer is already plugged in before the power
supply is connected, the flashing mentioned in the previous step does
not take place. If the programmer is removed before the power is
disconnected, the LEDs and registration unit flash as in update mode
4. Select the firmware option in the programmer and download
5. Following a successful Firmware / LEGIC OS download
6. Switch off the power supply at the Compact Reader,
set DIP switch 6 to OFF, remove the programmer, and reconnect the
power supply at the Compact Reader
7. Compact Reader is in operation again
8. Use programmer to set the required configuration data,
see Chapter 7.9.4/Page 75
- Access point ready for bookings again
7.9.3.2
Firmware update after INI reset with programming Master or programmer
Task
1. Perform an INI reset with the programming Master or programmer
2. Connect the programmer to the control unit via the programming cable State LED goes
3. Select the firmware option in the programmer and download
4. Following a successful Firmware / LEGIC OS download,
- the Compact Reader is in operation again
5. Disconnect the programmer from the registration unit, or the
programming cable from the control unit
6. Use programmer to set the required configuration data,
see Chapter 7.9.4/Page 75
- Access point ready for bookings again
