Loop the Leash through your Pet‛s neck hook and attach the two ends together by securing the
hook and loop fasteners. DO NOT put the Leash around people, pets or household objects.
WALKING
1. Press the Button on your Pet‛s chest (Fig. 1) and the legs will begin to move.
2. Place the Pet on a flat, level surface and it will walk. (Fig. 2).
3. To turn off the Pet, press the Button on its chest again.

SWIMMING
CAUTION: Do not allow children to play in water without COMPETENT ADULT SUPERVISION.
1. Position the Pet‛s head so it is looking forward (Fig. 2).
2. Set the Pet in a bathtub, swimming pool or a large container of clean, clear water.
3. As soon as the Pet‛s sensors (Fig. 3 & 3a) touch the water, its legs will begin to move. (Fig. 4).
Let go of the Pet and it will swim.
4. Remove the Pet from the water and, once the sensors are dry, its legs will stop moving.
ALSO NOTE: To keep the Pet balanced while swimming, hold the Pet‛s body under water until all
the air bubbles disappear from the opening in the Pet‛s back then release the Pet.

• NEVER place the Pet in any liquids other than clean, clear water as this can cause irreparable
damage!
• Do not leave your Pet in bath, salt or chlorinated pool water for long periods of time as
discoloration or bleaching may occur.
• Do not apply any make-up or skin care products (like sunscreen) to your Pet.
• Clean your pet using only cold or lukewarm water and mild soap products such as those used on
children.
NOTE: The Lalaloopsy™ Sew Magical™ Swimming Pet MUST be cleaned and dried after swimming.
Please refer to the CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS section at the end of this manual.
If you remove the Pet from the water and it does not stop swimming, firmly press and hold the
Button on its chest for five seconds to turn the Pet off.
If the motion of your Lalaloopsy Sew Magical™ Swimming Pet becomes slow or fails to work,
replace the batteries with fresh "AAA" Alkaline batteries.
If your Pet doesn‛t swim straight ahead, be sure that its head is facing forward.
To clean your Pet, slightly dampen a cloth in clean water to remove any stains.
• DO NOT put your Pet into the washing machine.
• DO NOT use detergent or stain removers on the Pet.
• DO NOT submerge your Pet completely in water.
• Wipe dirt off immediately to prevent stains.
• If water gets into the battery compartment, remove the batteries immediately and let the
open compartment air dry.
• DO NOT put the Pet into a dryer or subject it to heat of any kind.
• After play, drain excess water from the hole on the Pet‛s back and head. For best drainage,
hold the Pet at an angle with his head higher than his tail. Dry the Pet thoroughly and
bring indoors. Prolonged exposure to sunlight will cause damage to the Pet.
CAUTION:
• Competent Adult supervision is REQUIRED when children are playing around water.
• Please follow all instructions in this manual when playing with the Pet in water.
• Be sure to clean and dry the Pet after going in the water, otherwise it might develop mold
or mildew.

• If the Pet will not be played with for extended period of time, remove the batteries to
prevent possible corrosion and damage to the toy.
• DO NOT allow children to play in water that is near an electrical source or apparatus in order
to avoid electric shock and/or electrocution.
• DO NOT leave the Pet near an electrical source or apparatus when wet.
• DO NOT place the Pet in extremely hot or extremely cold water.
• Not recommended for outdoor use.
• DO NOT place the Pet‛s Leash around people or animal‛s necks.
• DO NOT use the Leash as a rope to tie or fasten objects.
• DO NOT sit or stand on any part of the Pet.
• DO NOT throw or kick the Pet.
• Operate the toy in water only when fully assembled in accordance with the instructions.
