A precision sound level meter with analog
readout and an Leq meter with digital read-
out combined in one compact battery-oper-
ated unit. It measures Leq to ISO R 1996,
R 1999 and DIN 45 641 , and SEL. It com-
plies with IEC 651. Type 1 (Impulse), and
ANSI S1.4-1971, Type 1. The RMS detec-
tor has the standardized Impulse, Fast and
Slow time constants and a Peak facility
with 50ps rise time. Max. Hold is available
on all time constants. The full measuring
range of 25 to 145 dB is covered in three
overlapping 80 dB ranges. "A" or Lin.
(20Hz to '20kHz) frequency weighting. AC
and DC outputs for connection of recorders.
Leq or SEL is displayed on a 3 1 /2-digit dig-
ital display. Alternatively, elapsed time and
preset time can be displayed . Maximum
measurement time is 2 7, 7 hours. Measure-
ment time can be preset. Sockets for exter-
nal filters such as Type 1613 or 1616 al-
low for measurement of Leq in octave or
1/3 octave bands and noise analysis, both
A-weighted and linear.
