MINIDISC PLAYBACK
Avoiding faulty operation (HOLD) (page 20)
When you are operating the unit on a train or when you
are carrying it with the power off, this function allows you
to prevent faulty operation due to accidental key operation.
(Both the main unit and remote control unit should be
carried with the HOLD function engaged.)
÷ Slide the HOLD switch in the direction indicated by the
arrow.
Normal playback (pages 21 to 22)
Plug in the remote control unit and headphones. (page 19)
÷ Insert the plug fully.
Make sure the HOLD switch has been released. (page 20)
÷ When the HOLD function is engaged, the unit will not
respond to operation of the keys.
1 Insert a recorded MiniDisc.
1 Slide the OPEN slider in the direction shown by the
arrow to open the disc holder.
2 Insert the arrow end of the MiniDisc first, while
pushing the center of the MiniDisc. Close the disc
holder.
2 Press and hold the 3/ 7 key.
3 To adjust the volume
Press the VOLUME key on the remote control unit or
the main unit.
Press the VOLUME + key to increase the volume. Press
the VOLUME – key to reduce the volume.
To stop playback (page 22)
Press the 3/ 7 key on the remote control unit or the
main unit.
÷ After stopping playback or turning off the power, if the
3/ 7 key is pressed, playback will resume from the point
where playback was stopped.
The unit memorizes the resume position of as many
as 16 MiniDiscs.
To turn off the power (page 22)
Press the 3/ 7 key for 2 or more consecutive seconds.
÷ When about 3 minutes have passed after playback has
stopped, the unit will automatically turn off the power.
To remove a MiniDisc (page 22)
Slide the OPEN slider in the direction indicated by the
arrow and remove MiniDisc.
Skip Track Selection (page 23)
Press the ¢ or 4 key on the remote control unit or
main unit when a track is being played back.
÷ The next track will be selected whenever the ¢ key is
pressed once.
÷ Press the 4 key once to return to the beginning of the
track currently being played back. Press the key once
more to select the previous track.
