FIRST TIME INSTALLATION
Please read instructions carefully before installation.
Check the contents of kit. Contact your Prorack dealer if any parts appear to be missing or damaged.
Clean your roof racks prior to fitting the Shade Awning.
Take care when opening the box with a knife not to slice through the canvas.
Once your Awning is unpacked, unzip the awning to find your fitting kit.
Always secure the awning with pegs and guy ropes. Failure to do so may result in injury as well as damage
to the product and your vehicle if the awning is lifted by unexpected wind.
IMPORTANT WARNING!
IT IS CRITICAL THAT ALL PRORACK RACKS AND ACCESSORIES BE PROPERLY AND SECURELY ATTACHED TO YOUR VEHICLE.
IMPROPER ATTACHMENT COULD RESULT IN AN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT, AND COULD CAUSE SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR
DEATH TO YOU OR TO OTHERS. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURING THE RACKS AND ACCESSORIES TO YOUR CAR,
CHECKING THE ATTACHMENTS PRIOR TO USE, AND PERIODICALLY INSPECTING THE PRODUCTS FOR ADJUSTMENT, WEAR,
AND DAMAGE. THEREFORE, YOU MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS AND CAUTIONS SUPPLIED WITH
YOUR PRORACK PRODUCT PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OR USE. IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS AND
CAUTIONS, OR IF YOU HAVE NO MECHANICAL EXPERIENCE AND ARE NOT THOROUGHLY FAMILIAR WITH THE INSTALLATION
PROCEDURES, YOU SHOULD HAVE THE PRODUCT INSTALLED BY A PROFESSIONAL INSTALLER SUCH AS A ROOF RACK
SPECIALIST.

  • Page 6 Your awning is now fitted and ready for use. Please read the Set Up instructions on Referring to Figure 6, secure each M6 Hex Bolt to the Awning Brackets using 1 x M6 Page 9. Washer and 1 x M6 Nylock Nut. Tighten all bolts to 4Nm with a 10mm Spanner or a suitable Torque Wrench.

  • Page 9 SET-UP AND PACK-UP OF SHADE AWNING Note - Once attached to the vehicle, the awning can be unpacked using 1 or 2 people Unzip the awning Bag. Pullout the vertical standing poles located in the end frame to a comfortable height. Release the buckles and pullout the 2 x horizontal awning poles situated in the base Fully extend the horizontal poles out and insert the tips of poles into the holes located section of the awning.
  • Page 10 Fit the guy ropes and peg down to secure the awning to the ground. Adjust the vertical poles to a desired height. Twist lock both poles into a permanent position (right and left hand sides). Note - If the awning is used in rain it is advisable to lower one or more of the vertical poles to allow water to run off the end of the awning.
