  • Page 12: Feature Overview

TURBOTEST 500B User’s Guide Feature Overview High-speed transmission systems employ laser sources with narrow bandwidths, which are sensitive to back-reflections caused by components, splices, and connectors. If too much light is reflected back to the laser transmitter, the modulation characteristics and spectrum of the laser may change. This change will degrade the systems performance.
