2 • DESCRIPTION
The OFR 250 and OFR 350 are ESYLUX floodlights with in-built, non-replaceable LED lamps.
The AFR 250 and AFR 350 are automatic floodlights from ESYLUX with in-built, non-
replaceable LED lamps and an integrated 140° motion detector.
ESYLUX motion detectors are passive infrared detectors, which react to moving heat sources
(e.g. people or vehicles). If the motion detector senses a change in thermal radiation inside its
field of detection, depending on the set light value, it will switch on the automatic light for a
preset length of time, as well as additional devices if desired.
Alternatively, the AFR 250 and/or AFR 350 automatic floodlight can be switched off when it
gets light and on when it gets dark. The twilight switch can be used to determine the point at
which this happens.

3 • INSTALLATION / ASSEMBLY / CONNECTION
Please observe the following before installing the device:
• Switch off the power supply at the mains before installing the product.
• Any information relating to the motion detector's range is based on an installation height of
2.50 m. (The field of detection will vary depending on the height.)
• To ensure optimum performance (i.e. maximum range), position the device so that people/
vehicles move at an angle to the detector (fig. 1 (1) head-on to the detector (2) diagonally to the
detector).
• Ensure that the detector has a clear line of sight, as infrared beams cannot penetrate solid
objects.
• Take the surrounding area into consideration when installing the device, e.g. neighbouring
plots or the distance to the road.
• The lights should only be installed on a stable, flat surface (e.g. a wall).
The wall base unit and light can be plugged into one another. Disconnect the two components
for installation purposes. Release the locking screw, press in the spring mechanism and remove
the light from the wall base unit (fig. 2.1). Insert the cable and mount the wall base unit as
shown in fig. 3.
Connect the AFR 250 and/or AFR 350 automatic light as shown in circuit diagram fig. 4.
(4.1) Standard operation
(4.2) Standard operation with additional connection of external loads
Connect the OFR 250 and/or OFR 350 light as shown in circuit diagram fig. 5.
(5.1) Standard operation
(5.2) Controlled by automatic lights, such as AFR 250 and/or AFR 350
Push the light into the wall base unit until you hear the spring mechanism click into place and
