    Safety indicators:  The safety precautions are divided into  "Warning" and "Caution" as follows:        WARNING  indicates a serious risk.        CAUTION  indicates a potential hazard. Safety symbols        Indicates actions that should not be made or are forbidden.         Indicates required actions or actions that must be performed     as directed. Usage       Warning   Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the product.   - iriver does not assume any responsibility for problems        that arise due to unauthorized product disassembly,        repair, or modifications.   Do not insert any metal (coins, hairpins, etc.) objects or    flammable debris into the device.   Avoid touching the power cord during lightning strikes or    thunderstorms.   - This may cause a fire or electric shock.  ...
  • Page 4 English   If water or other liquids enter the device, immediately disconnect    the power cord from the outlet, wipe with a dry cloth, and    then refer to the nearest 'iriver Zone' for customer support.   Water-damaged devices will be repaired for a fee regardless    of warranty status, but the device may not be repairable.   Be careful not to apply any force or shock to any    connected cables.   - This may cause damage to the audio ports.   Be sure to refer to the [Connections] section when    connecting audio and power cables to the device.   - Improperly connected audio cables may cause abnormal        performance or possible malfunction.   Do not use harsh chemicals or detergents on the device    surface. Doing so may damage the surface and remove paint.   Please install the product in a safe place.   - Installing the device on a sloped shelf or otherwise        unstable location may cause the product to fall and        cause possible bodily harm.

Power Cable and Plug       Warning   Do not connect/disconnect the power plug with wet hands.   Plug the power plug into a 110V - 220V (50Hz - 60Hz) AC outlet.   If there is dust on the power plug pins or mounting surface,    disconnect the power cord, and then remove the dust.   Observe the following when handling the power cord:   Do not damage the power cord. / Do not modify the power    cord. (e.g. extension) / Do not pull the power cord. / Do    not heat the power cord. / Do not place heavy objects the    power cord. / Do not jam the power cord into tight spaces. /    Do not forcibly bend the power cord. / Do not twist the    power cord. / Do not tie multiple power cords together.        Caution   Do not use any power cords other than the one supplied    with the product.   Do not use the supplied power cord with any other devices.   - This may cause a fire or electric shock.   Please plug the power cord into a grounded power outlet.

    User Guide Assembly Detaching the AK500N stand from the main unit 1.  Detach the stand from the AK500N using the supplied T-wrench. 2. Remove a total of three bolts from the unit. 3. The stand can be detached from the AK500N after    removing all three bolts. 4.  Remove the stand, and then replace the neck mount at the bottom    of the AK500N with the dedicated AK500 Series neck mount. 5. The dedicated AK500 Series neck mount is located inside    the AK LED accessories box. 6.  Use the short T-wrench included in the AK LED accessories    box to remove the four bolts that hold the neck mount in place.  The AK500N, AK500P, and AK500A are assembled together using the  AK LED stand. The  AK500P  and  AK500A  can  be  combined  using  the  AK500Nʼs base stand. Be fore  Use...
  • Page 14 English After  detaching  the  stand  from  the  AK500N  and  before  assembling together with the AK500A, lay the unit on a soft  cloth with the opposite side of the volume wheel facing down. Do  not  apply  excessive  force  when  tightening  the  bolts  with the T-wrench. Securely tighten each bolt to prevent shaking or separation  of the units. Applying excessive force to a fully assembled product may  cause the units to topple and be damaged. Assembling the AK500N, AK500A, and AK500P 1. Assemble the AK LED, before aligning the AK500P to the    stand of the AK LED. For detailed assembly information,    see the AK LED manual. 2.  Align the mounting holes on the AK LED stand to the AK500P and    assemble by securely fastening three bolts using the long T-wrench. 3. After attaching AK500P to the stand, align the AK500A to    the mounting holes on the AK500P and securely tighten a    total of three bolts using the T-wrench. 4. ...

    User Guide Connections Connecting cables 1. Connect the Analog Out (Fixed or Variable) port on the    AK500N to the Balanced Port on the AK500A by using the    balanced audio cables. 2. Connect the Power In port on the AK500A to the Power    Out port on the AK500P by using the inter-power cable. 3. Connect the power port on the AK500N to the power port    on the AK500P by using the sub-power cable. 4. Connect the power cable from the AK500P to an outlet. 5. Connect speakers to the AK500A by using speaker cables. 6.  After all cable connections are completed, turn on the units    in the following sequence: AK500N     AK500P     AK500A.   • Page 16 English The  AK500A  power  amplifier  does  not  feature  separate  volume  control.  Audio  is  automatically  output  using  a  150-level volume when connected to the Fixed Analog Out  port on the AK500N. The volume is output at the maximum level when playing  music by connecting to the Fixed Analog Out port. As this  may  cause  damage  to  the  speaker  units,  be  sure  to  connect to the Variable Analog Out port on the AK500N for  volume control.     User Guide Power Cable Management Connecting the power cables to the AK500N and AK500P 1. Connect the power port on the AK500N to the power port    on the AK500P by using the sub-power cable. 2.  Connect the cable to the [Power] ports on the backs of each    unit and securely tighten by turning the mounting rings. 3. Connect the power cable from the power port on the    AK500P to an outlet. 4. Press and hold the power button on the AK500N for 2 to 3    seconds and then turn on the power switch on the back of    the AK500P. 5. The [     ] logo will appear on the screen while the product    is booting up. Only connect the AK500P's power cable to an outlet after  the power connections between the AK500N, AK500A, and  AK500P have been completed.     User Guide Troubleshooting Check for solutions to common problems. 1. The device won't turn on.      Make sure that the power supply is properly connected. 2. The operation of the product is unstable.       Press and hold the power button on the side of the        AK500N for more than 10 seconds to turn off the product.      Turn on the product again and check the operation.      For the AK500A and AK500P, first turn off the power       switch on the back of the AK500P, and then disconnect       the power cable between the AK500A and AK500P.       Reconnect the units, turn on the power switch, power on       the devices, and then check the operation. 3. The screen turns off repeatedly.      The screen turns off automatically after a defined period       of time to reduce power consumption during music       playback. Set the desired time at [Settings - Power       Saving - Screen Timeout] 4. The screen is not displaying properly.      Check whether debris is on the screen. 5. There is no sound, or there is static/interference.      Verify that the volume is not set to [0].  ...

    User Guide 조립하기 AK500N 본체와 받침대 분리하기 1. 동봉된 T렌치를 이용해서 AK500N과 받침대를 분리합니다. 2. 3개의 볼트를 돌려서 하나씩 뺍니다. 3. 볼트를 모두 제거하면, AK500N과 받침대가 분리됩니다. 4. 받침대를 분리한 뒤, AK500N 아래에 있는 마운트를 AK500 Series    전용 마운트로 교체합니다. 5. AK500 Series 전용 마운트는 AK LED 액세서리 박스에 있습니다. 6. 마운트를 고정하고 있는 4개의 볼트는 AK LED 액세서리 박스에    있는 짧은 T-렌치를 사용해서 빼시면 됩니다.
