An ACR OLAS integrated pocket LED flashlight and water activated Man Overboard strobe.
Man Overboard Technology (MOBT)
Your ACR OLAS Float-On is a floating water activated strobe. The strobe will switch on within 8 seconds of
being submerged. The strobe will switch off after 20 seconds of no water connection.
Water activation mode is active when the bi-color LED flashes green twice every 60 seconds. When a
charge is required the LED is solid red.
CHARGING
Charge your ACR OLAS Float-On fully before first use
WARNING: Ensure your light is totally dry and salt free before charging.
1. Insert charger cable.
2. The LED will flash green whilst charging.
3. When the battery is fully charged the LED will turn solid green.
4. Charge time 1.5 hours from a 500mA power source.
ACR OLAS APP
ACR OLAS – Your personal man overboard alarm
Download 'ACR OLAS' from the App Store or Google Play. The ACR OLAS application connects the ACR
OLAS Float-On to any mobile device which has the ACR OLAS application downloaded.
How to activate ACR OLAS in your Float-On:
1. Press and hold the button for 4 seconds, the LED will strobe once and then turn green for 4 seconds. ACR OLAS
is ON.
2. Open the ACR OLAS application.
3. The application will ask you to sync the light. Click OK.
4. Your ACR OLAS Float-On is now connected to your phone.
From the ACR OLAS application you can adjust connection settings, personalize the name and manage
other ACR OLAS products.
When the connection between the mobile device and the Float-On are broken for longer than 8 seconds an
Alert will occur on the mobile device, activating the man overboard screens. To test the range walk away
from the light holding your mobile device until the alert occurs.
When the strobe is water activated the ACR OLAS connection will be broken, setting off the alarm.
Deactivating ACR OLAS:
1. Open the ACR OLAS application.
2. Deactivate the ACR OLAS Float-On in the tags screen. NOTE: This does not stop ACR OLAS
transmitting from the ACR OLAS Float-On.
3. Press and hold the button on your Float-On for 4 seconds, the LED will strobe once and then turn red for 4
seconds. ACR OLAS is OFF.
