6. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
Rivet jammed.
no suction.
Air leaking.
Tool runs slow or suffers a loss of
power.

CAUSE
Wrong size rivet/nozzle.
Filings jammed in jaw housing.
Filings jammed in nozzle.
The shut-off valve has not been opened.
Damaged o-rings.
Loose screws.
Air line is loose.
Exhaust port is blocked.
operating pressure is too low.

REMEDY
use the correct size nozzle for the rivet
Snap off rivet head, dismantle jaw housing and pull
out the rivet mandrel. use an airline to blow out the
filings, oil and re-assemble the jaw housing.
Clean out the nozzle.
open shut-off valve.
o-rings must be replaced.
Tighten screws.
Re-install and tighten airline.
Clean out exhaust port.
Increase the operating pressure to 85-95psi.
If the pressure exceeds 105-110psi, the safety valve
will operate.
